Information for New Staff

Congratulations on your new career with one of the many excellent tenants working at the North Bay Jack Garland Airport.

In order to work at the Airport you may require a Restricted Area Pass (RAP) and/or an Airside Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP). Below you'll find a step-by-step guide on how to apply for each, what the requirements are, and how they're issued.

Restricted Area Pass

For identification and security control purposes you will require a Restricted Area Pass (RAP) if you will be working within any restricted area of the airport. A RAP is also required for all drivers with an Airside Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP). A RAP is a federally regulated requirement, and includes a detailed application, a Police Records Check (PRC) and a Security Awareness briefing.

For more information about RAPs and the restricted areas of the airport please contact your employer, or:

Access Control Application for Keys, Cards, and Fobs

For all employees, tenants, or contractors who will be conducting work airside or in restricted areas a request can be made to receive access keys. These keys can be issued either temporarily (where a definitive date of return is known) or permanently (for the duration of employment or completion of work).

Alternatively, if keys can not be assigned a security escort can be arranged.
